Citroen C3 Aircross: Unveiling the Price and Features of the Compact SUV

The Citroen C3 Aircross has officially entered the thriving compact SUV segment, making a bold statement with its three-row design. The starting price for the C3 Aircross has been announced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can already book their C3 Aircross at any La Maison dealer or online starting from today, with deliveries scheduled to begin on October 15th.

The compact SUV space in India is dominated by popular models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara, among others. However, the C3 Aircross sets itself apart from the competition with its unique 5+2 Flexi Pro seating, allowing for flexible seating arrangements and additional luggage space. Buyers can choose between a 5-seater or a 5+2-seater configuration, with the option to remove the third-row seats.

Designed on Citroen’s Common Modular Platform (CMP), the C3 Aircross shares parts with other Citroen vehicles such as the C3 hatchback and the upcoming C3X crossover sedan. This not only helps reduce development and production costs but also ensures high localisation. The C3 Aircross will be manufactured at Citroen’s Hosur plant.

Measuring 4,323 meters in length, 1,654mm in height, and 1,796mm in width, the C3 Aircross boasts a spacious interior and offers a ground clearance of 200mm. It comes equipped with a range of impressive features, including a 7-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and internet-connected smart features accessible through the MyCitroen Connect App.

Safety features include a rearview camera, high-speed alert system, electronic stability control, and hill start assist. The C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 110 PS of power and 190 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 18.5 km/l, which is remarkable for its size.

Roland Bouchara, CEO & Managing Director of Stellantis India, expressed his excitement about the C3 Aircross SUV, stating that it has received a positive response from customers. He emphasized Citroen’s commitment to delivering top-tier offerings in India with high localisation. Bouchara believes that the C3 Aircross SUV will find a special place in the hearts and homes of Indian customers looking for versatility in their driving experiences.
