Delta Air Lines received backlash from its customers after announcing significant changes to its SkyMiles loyalty program last month.
These changes include new restrictions on access to the Sky Club lounge, with unlimited access no longer available for Delta-branded credit card holders starting in 2025.
The airline explained that these restrictions are necessary to address overcrowding at the lounges and other factors.
Delta CEO Ed Bastian acknowledged that the company may have gone too far with the program overhaul and stated that modifications will be announced.
In the meantime, Delta continues to open more Sky Clubs throughout its network.
