Paramount+ unveils sneak peek clip of “South Park: Joining the Panderverse” event special.
In a tantalizing opening scene (watch below), Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny are portrayed by a diverse group of women. However, it turns out to be a nightmare experienced by Cartman. Desperate for reassurance, he urges his mother to search under his bed, ensuring that there are no Disney executives lurking, specifically Kathleen Kennedy.
“Joining the Panderverse” is currently streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, with its premiere scheduled on October 28 in the U.K., Australia, and other international markets. The official synopsis teases, “Cartman’s unsettling dreams foreshadow the demise of his familiar life. Meanwhile, the adults in South Park grapple with their own existential choices as the rise of artificial intelligence disrupts their world.”
This marks the fifth “South Park” special event on Paramount+ following “South Park: Post Covid,” “South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid,” “South Park: The Streaming Wars,” and “South Park: The Streaming Wars: Part 2.”
In 2022, “South Park” celebrated its 25th anniversary and Comedy Central has already renewed the show until 2027, ensuring its 30th season on the air. Co-created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the series is executive produced by Parker, Stone, Anne Garefino, and Frank C. Agnone II. The show is produced by Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell, and Vernon Chatman, with Christopher Brion as the Creative Director of South Park Digital Studios.
