Exclusive Property Alert: Big Brother House Now Available for Sale! Get in on the BIZ BUZZ!

A significant piece of Philippine television history is up for sale by ABS-CBN Corp., owned by the Lopez family. The iconic yellow and blue Pinoy Big Brother house, located in the ABS-CBN headquarters in Quezon City, is now on the market.

This two-decade-old “Bahay ni Kuya” has been the launchpad for some of the country’s biggest stars and a beloved venue for fans who watched the show on their TV screens or visited in person.

But now, that era is coming to an end. A new property listing by brokerage firm Santos Knight Frank reveals that the 2,838.9-square meter property, which includes the two-story house, swimming pool, and a 1,400 sqm covered court/concert area, is available for sale.

The house itself boasts 1,300 sqm of floor area, complete with rooms, storage, landscaping, and a fence, in addition to “multiple water tanks.”

While the price is undisclosed by the broker, nearby land estimates value the property at around P600 million. Santos Knight Frank suggests that the property is suitable for “either a residential or commercial redevelopment.”

For the devoted fans or speculators, this means an opportunity to explore the property. ABS-CBN is also considering other plans to generate income by redeveloping part of its compound, after losing its broadcast franchise under the past administration.

Changes were already underway when the show’s director, Lauren Dyogi, announced earlier this year that a part of the house in an adjacent property was being demolished due to a lease not being renewed.

However, the sale of the main house does not signify the end of Pinoy Big Brother. ABS-CBN still holds the franchise for the show, so fans can expect the return of Big Brother in a new location. Until then, abangan!
