Long-time “Wheel of Fortune” co-host Vanna White has recently extended her contract, ensuring that she will continue to turn letters on the popular game show until at least the middle of 2026, as announced by producers on Tuesday.
As the 41st season of “Wheel” marks the retirement of host Pat Sajak, there have been questions about White’s future on the show where she has been a fixture since the early 1980s.
White, who is now 66 years old, has signed a two-year extension, guaranteeing her presence as she turns “Wheel” letters in the upcoming 2024-25 and 2025-26 television seasons. The statement from show producers and distributors confirms this on Tuesday.
In the show’s 42nd season, set to begin in a year, White will be turning letters for the new host, Ryan Seacrest.
During an episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” co-host Kelly Ripa jokingly teased Seacrest about how hosting duties on “Wheel” will help improve his often confusing spelling and texting.
“This is the perfect show for you,” Ripa told Seacrest. “Finally, you’ll be able to spell words correctly, and we’ll be able to understand what your text messages are trying to say.”
Seacrest admitted to being careless with his thumbs when typing on his phone.
“It’s a public service,” he said. “Yes, I tend to neglect checking my spelling before my texts are autocorrected and sent out as random words that make no sense.”
