We are on the verge of receiving official details about the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, as per a report by Bloomberg. According to the news organization, Rockstar Games is gearing up to announce the next installment in the GTA franchise as early as this week. Additionally, the 25th-anniversary celebration for Rockstar reportedly includes the release of a game trailer next month.
The forthcoming game is one of the most hotly anticipated titles for current consoles, especially considering the immense success of the previous installment, which Bloomberg notes as the second best-selling video game of all time, after its launch in 2013.
Despite the official launch still pending, some fans have caught a glimpse of early gameplay footage due to a leak in 2022. The leaked content included 90 seconds of gameplay from a test build of GTA VI, featuring one of the two playable protagonists, a character named Lucia, as well as a clip showing the other playable character in Rockstar’s version of Miami.
Rockstar is expected to reveal the release period for GTA VI upon its announcement, although its parent company Take-Two has hinted at a potential release sometime in 2024.
