Exciting News: ‘Reacher’ Season 3 Renewed by Amazon Before Season 2 Premiere

Alan Ritchson, the star of “Reacher,” surprised the crowd at Amazon Prime Video’s panel during CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil with a special announcement: the series has been renewed for a third season by Amazon. This news comes just before the debut of “Reacher” Season 2 on Dec. 15.

Addressing the camera, Ritchson proclaimed, “December is a season of hot cocoa and smiles, and now ‘Reacher.’ That’s right, Season 2 of Reacher premieres Dec. 15 on Prime Video.”

He then continued, “You know what else? December is a season of surprises, and boy, do I have a surprise for you. That’s right, you’re on the set of Season 3 right now,” Ritchson said, revealing his surroundings. “We’re officially underway.”

In addition to the renewal announcement, Ritchson provided an extended preview of Season 2. The first three episodes will be released on Dec. 15, and the remaining five episodes will be dropped one at a time until Jan. 19.

The second season is based on the 11th book in Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series, entitled “Bad Luck and Trouble.” The book follows Reacher’s journey in Portland, Oregon, as he investigates the mysterious deaths of his close friends from his Army unit 110th MP Special Investigations.
