Newsmax today announced the upcoming launch of Newsmax+, a dedicated streaming service. This new service will replace the current Newsmax TV, which currently offers free access. However, starting tomorrow, the live feed will be exclusive to Newsmax+ subscribers.
Chris Ruddy, CEO of Newsmax, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “Millions of Americans are tuning into Newsmax, and we want to provide them with even more streaming content for their home or mobile viewing. Subscribers will gain access to breaking news, expert analysis, and commentary from our renowned contributors and pundits, creating a unique viewing experience.”
Newsmax cites “cable agreements” as the reason behind the launch of this new service. Earlier this year, Newsmax went dark on DIRECTV, and the availability of a free stream contributed to the network being dropped. To avoid similar issues, Newsmax has decided to discontinue its free stream.
The new service, Newsmax+, will be launched on November 1st, 2023. It will be accessible at NewsmaxPlus.com and various streaming players, including Roku. The monthly subscription fee will be $4.99, and a discounted annual fee of $49.99 can be prepaid.
