TIPPING OFF TWO-GAME STRETCH VS. TIMBERWOLVES
The Warriors are set to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday in the first of two head-to-head matchups in three days. Both teams are in West Group C, and their second matchup on Tuesday will be an In-Season Tournament game.

The Timberwolves are led by Anthony Edwards, an athletic shot-creating guard that headlined Head Coach Steve Kerr’s Team USA FIBA World Cup team this summer. This matchup is also scheduled to feature two Defensive Player of the Year recipients, Rudy Gobert and Draymond Green.

Santa Cruz Warriors kicked off their 2023-24 season by hosting the Stockton Kings. The Warriors never trailed, defeating the Kings 125-114. Rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis scored a game-high 28 points on 11-for-13 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Brandin Podziemski added 24 points with seven rebounds and four assists. After being signed on Tuesday, forward Gui Santos scored 19 points and dished out four assists.

The Sea Dubs are 2-0 on the season, beating the Salt Lake City Stars 129-115 on Saturday. Without Jackson-Davis and Podziemski, who were with Golden State, Santa Cruz had eight players in double figures, paced by guard Kendric Davis’ 20 points.
