Guilty Gear Strive underwent significant gameplay changes with the Season 3 update a few months ago, and the updates are still ongoing.
Arc System Works recently announced during their Paris Games Week 2023 presentation that more new special moves will be introduced in the upcoming Strive update. One of these moves has already been revealed.
It seems that Potemkin will be receiving the first of the two new specials, called the Heat Tackle. This move propels him diagonally upward across the stage.
The Heat Tackle resembles Potemkin’s I.C.P.M. attack from the Guilty Gear Xrd games, but with added armor and the potential for effective corner carry and Oki.
The identity of the second character receiving the new attack is still unknown. However, it has been confirmed that all original launch fighters, including I-No, May, Ramlethal, Zato-1, Anji, Giovanna, and Faust, will eventually receive their own new moves.
The December update also suggests that the second DLC character for Season 3, following Johnny, will be released. The roadmap indicates one more character for 2023.
