ALBANY — The Wine & Dine for the Arts festival’s Rising Star Chefs component will make its comeback in January, marking its return after a hiatus since 2019.

After being put on hold due to the pandemic, Rising Star Chefs is now accepting nominations for up-and-coming chefs. Six selected chefs will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the festival’s grand tastings, where their culinary creations will be paired with boutique wines. The 15th annual Albany Chefs’ Food & Wine Festival: Wine & Dine for the Arts will kick off on January 25 with a reception at City Hall, followed by a series of tastings, a slider slam, and a gala dinner at Albany Capital Center. Tickets will go on sale on October 24 through the festival’s website. The full festival details will also be announced at a news conference on the same day.
