Evidence from European satellite imagery suggests that Wagner is potentially establishing a military base in Belarus following the Russian mutiny

Satellite images taken by the European Space Agency’s Sentinel 2 satellites on Tuesday suggest the presence of a potential new Wagner military base near Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

If confirmed, these images indicate a rapid build-up of Wagner forces following a short-lived mutiny led by Yevgeny Prigozhin.

According to Russian media reports, Wagner troops arrived in Belarus on Tuesday and are potentially establishing a new base near the town of Asipovichi, 50 miles from Minsk.

The satellite image, taken in the nearby village of Tsel, reveals the presence of long structures that were not there just a week prior to Wagner’s mutiny.

These images can be accessed publicly through searches on the ESA website.

The Defense Department has indicated that they are monitoring the situation but have chosen not to comment further on the matter.
