‘Euphoria’ Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Late Angus Cloud Following His Passing

Max pays tribute to Angus Cloud, the late “Euphoria” star, in a unique and special manner.

To honor the beloved actor following his sudden death more than a week ago, the streaming platform has added an in memoriam message to two episodes of the popular drama series.

At the beginning of the show’s pilot episode and the Season 2 premiere, viewers will now see a tribute that reads “In memory of Angus Cloud 1998 – 2023” accompanied by a black-and-white photo of the actor.

Cloud, who portrayed drug dealer Fezco “Fez” O’Neill on the Emmy-winning show, passed away on July 31 at his family home in Oakland, California. He was 25 years old.

The cause of death has not been officially confirmed. However, the actor’s mother, Lisa Cloud, shared on Facebook that Angus was grieving the loss of his father, who recently succumbed to mesothelioma, but emphasized that her son did not have the intention to end his life.

“Friends, I want to express my gratitude for your love and support during this shattered time for my family,” wrote Lisa Cloud on Friday. “I also want you to know that even though my son was deeply saddened by his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one.”

She added: “He was organizing his room and placing items around the house, intending to stay longer in the home he cherished. He spoke of wanting to support his sisters’ education and provide emotional and financial assistance to his mother.”

In order to address rumors surrounding his death, his mother clarified: “We may discover that he accidentally and tragically overdosed, but it is abundantly clear that he did not intend to leave this world.”

Following his passing, the “Euphoria” family, including co-stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, and others, paid heartfelt tributes to Angus Cloud.

“Words are insufficient to describe the boundless beauty of Angus (Conor). I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to know him in this lifetime, to call him my brother, to witness his warm kind eyes and bright smile, and to hear his infectious laughter,” wrote Zendaya, who is also an executive producer on the show, wrote on Instagram.

She added: “I will cherish every moment. My heart goes out to his mother and family during this time, and I kindly ask for patience and understanding as grief manifests differently for each person.”
