Erica Herman, ex-girlfriend of Tiger Woods, withdraws $30 million lawsuit concerning his Florida mansion

Tiger Woods’s former girlfriend, Erica Herman, has reportedly decided to drop her $30 million lawsuit against Woods’s estate. According to documents obtained by the New York Post, Herman has dismissed the case pending the outcome of her appeal regarding another lawsuit she filed against the golfing icon. This separate lawsuit sought to invalidate a non-disclosure agreement related to a sexual harassment claim.

Last October, Herman filed the $30 million lawsuit against the Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust, which is the legal owner of Woods’s mansion in Florida where the couple lived together. She alleged that Woods tricked her into leaving the property after their breakup, despite having an oral agreement with Woods’s trust that allowed her to live there for 11 years.

A hearing scheduled for August was canceled when Herman filed a notice of dismissal on June 29. The dismissal comes shortly after she filed her second appeal of a judge’s decision to throw out her lawsuit seeking to lift a 2017 NDA.

In her $30 million tenancy lawsuit, Herman claimed that Woods used trickery and caused severe emotional damage after their breakup. She stated that she provided valuable services as part of an oral tenancy agreement and should have been allowed to live in the property for another five years. Herman also alleged that Woods’s representatives removed $40,000 of her money and made defamatory allegations about its origin.

Woods’s lawyers disputed these claims, stating that there was no written or oral tenancy agreement and that Herman lived at the property as a guest. They also mentioned that Woods arranged for her to stay in a luxury resort and provided money for a new residence after their breakup.

Woods and Herman were together for six years before their split in October 2022. Herman worked as the general manager at a restaurant owned by Woods, and they were often seen attending events together. Woods’s lawyers stated that he ended the relationship, and the lawsuit was a response to the breakup. They also argued that Herman’s claim to the property is against the interests of Woods and his children, who reside there.
