“There was one that [director] Doug [Liman] kind of sneakily handed over to me,” she revealed. “I would absolutely love to bring it to life, but I’m unsure of when or how. And how many more ‘Mission: Impossibles’ does Tom [Cruise] really need?” the talented actress playfully teased.

Blunt playfully acknowledged that Cruise should consider returning to his roots as the cowardly hero, saying, “Wasn’t he incredible?”

In 2014, Blunt and Cruise starred in Liman’s “Edge of Tomorrow,” featuring Cruise reliving the same day in a battle against aliens.

Blunt expressed her readiness for a sequel, assuring that she is not the one holding it back.

Cruise’s recent film, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” premiered last month, with the second installment set for release in June 2024.

Last month, during an episode of the “Table for Two” podcast, she announced her plan to step back from her career and focus on her daughters, Hazel (9) and Violet (7).

“It’s one of those things where people ask, ‘How do you balance it all?’ I never feel like I’m doing it perfectly, you know?” she disclosed. “But this year, I’m not working.”
