Cooper Flagg, the nation’s top player in the 2024 recruiting class, chooses Duke for college basketball

Cooper Flagg, the nation’s top player in the 2024 recruiting class, announced Monday his commitment to play college basketball at Duke.
The 6-foot-9 small forward from Maine, who currently plays at Montverde Academy in Florida, had also been considering UConn. Flagg’s decision, revealed through social media with Slam Magazine, comes just before the early signing period for NCAA basketball.
Flagg’s choice adds to the successful recruiting efforts of Duke’s head coach, Jon Scheyer.
Under Scheyer’s leadership, Duke secured the No. 1 position in the 247sports rankings for the Class of 2022. This year, they already have the No. 2-ranked class and have now moved up to No. 4 after Flagg’s commitment.
