A recent 911 call reported multiple people shot just outside Uptown Charlotte. The incident led police to three victims in the Belmont area, as per the news release.
Unfortunately, one of the victims, a male, succumbed to his injuries, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. The identities of the victims have not been disclosed to the public.
The shooting occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 12, in the 800 block of Seigle Avenue, CMPD confirmed. The neighborhood is situated northeast of the Interstate 277-Independence Boulevard interchange, near Piedmont Open IB Middle School.
CMPD stated, “Officers located multiple victims with apparent gunshot wounds. Three victims were transported by MEDIC to a local hospital where one male victim was pronounced deceased.”
Detailing the situation further, they added, “The other two victims had non-life threatening injuries.”
As of now, details about the suspect and motive remain undisclosed.
