Wow! What a night at Survivor Series in Chicago on November 25, 2023!
WWE kept fans on the edge of their seats by teasing Randy Orton’s return for the main event War Games match, and then surprising everyone by actually having him show up. The electricity was palpable as they even teased a Money in the Bank cash-in before delivering that surprise as well.
The speculation was rampant among the fans that CM Punk might make a return during the show. And while Orton’s arrival seemed to bring an end to that, Punk did indeed show up to an overwhelming ovation, completely changing the course of events. It was truly an electric night!
Drew McIntyre found himself caught in the middle of all this chaos. His ongoing storyline focused on getting revenge against Jey Uso for an incident at Clash at the Castle last year. He joined forces with The Judgment Day, yet he failed to achieve his desired outcome. Orton’s return ultimately led to McIntyre and The Judgment Day’s defeat, which visibly upset McIntyre, leading to him storming out of the arena.
Reports from PW Insider and Fightful confirmed McIntyre’s visible distress backstage and his dramatic exit from the event. However, the wrestling world is left wondering if this is all part of the storyline. Social media videos even suggest that a cameraman signaled to McIntyre before he stormed out, leaving fans eager to see what unfolds next.
