San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw isn’t a guy you want to mess with. The same should be said about Philadelphia Eagles head of security, Dom DiSandro.

They refer to him as “Big Dom” for a reason – he’s a big man.

Greenlaw was ejected for taking a swipe at Big Dom on the sideline. After Greenlaw suplexed Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith near the Philadelphia sideline, the Eagles sideline erupted, with DiSandro among those urging the officials to throw the flag. Greenlaw then stuck a finger in DiSandro’s face, resulting in his ejection.

While it wasn’t a significant blow, the contact warranted an ejection.

DiSandro was also ejected, but the Eagles were satisfied with the tradeoff. As DiSandro left the sideline, the Philly fans cheered enthusiastically. The Eagles managed to score shortly after his departure. Any shift in momentum is valuable, even if it involves the head of security being ejected.

In the NFL, you witness new things all the time, and a linebacker and the opposing team’s head of security being ejected for a scuffle might be a first for everyone.
