Drake Playfully Teases Fan Who Tosses Vape Onstage

Drake has become the latest addition to the growing list of artists who have had their performances interrupted by fans throwing objects. During his show at the Barclays Center in New York City, someone threw an electronic cigarette onstage, causing Drake to abruptly stop the performance. Although he took it in stride, Drake advised the fan to get their act together, questioning their seriousness about life if they think he would vape with them at the Barclays Center. He then kicked the vaping device around before picking it up to reveal that it was lemon-mint flavored.

This incident is not the first to occur during Drake’s “It’s All a Blur Tour.” In a previous show in Chicago, a fan threw a cellphone at him. Drake expressed his disappointment at the lack of bras onstage during a performance in Montreal and urged fans not to throw shoes, phones, or other objects. Although it is common for megastars like Drake to have undergarments and other objects thrown at them as tokens of appreciation, these recent incidents have caused shows to come to a standstill.

Throwing odd objects has become so common at concerts that singer Bebe Rexha was hit by a cellphone and a Pink fan tossed cremated remains onstage. Charlie Puth has spoken out against this “dangerous” trend. In a similar vein, Miranda Lambert halted a show to scold fans for taking selfies instead of enjoying the music, which led to LL Cool J advising her to “get over it.”

Overall, these incidents highlight the need for concertgoers to show respect and appreciation for artists without disrupting their performances.
