Dorit Kemsley Reveals Candid Insights on Her BravoCon Marriage and the Shocking $10K Robbery

has openly shared her challenging experiences on recent seasons of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” In 2021, she faced a home invasion where armed men threatened her and her children. On Season 13 of the series, which premiered on Oct. 25, she has been seen struggling in her marriage to Paul “P.K.” Kemsley due to his lack of empathy and understanding of her PTSD. Shortly after the show premiered, In Touch reported their split, sparking widespread speculation in the Bravo gossip circles.

During BravoCon on Nov. 4, Kemsley sat down with Variety to discuss the current situation. She stated, “When you spend 13 years together in a marriage, you’re bound to have ups and downs. We are working through it and, luckily, we are still together despite rumors and hearsay that suggest otherwise. It’s important for me to be authentic on the show, even when vulnerable and facing challenges in life.”

While discussing this season, Kemsley addressed the separation of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky, a couple close to the Kemsleys. Kemsley admitted, “I had my suspicions about Kyle, but I wasn’t completely sure. I had my own issues in my marriage with P.K. The PTSD definitely played a role after the home invasion, although not quite the same as Kyle and Mo’s situation.”

Kemsley also addressed a burning question that arose from the season premiere of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” In addition to the home invasion, she revealed that she had been targeted by three men in a supermarket robbery after withdrawing $10,000 cash for Christmas gifts last year.

The withdrawal of a large sum of cash raised eyebrows, with former “RHOBH” castmate Camille Meyer (née Grammer) questioning why Kemsley would carry such large amounts and leave it unsecured in her purse. Kemsley clarified to Variety, “The cash was actually for bonuses. It was intended for staff at the house. In the confessionals, they simplify the answer.”

Next, as the Beverly Beach designer, Kemsley is preparing for a stage role in a pantomime production of “Peter Pan” at the London Palladium. She will take on the roles of Mrs. Darling, the mother of the central children characters Wendy, John, and Michael, as well as a mermaid. Kemsley added, “I even have a little singing part.” She will receive vocal coaching from her friend Boy George, who will also portray Captain Hook in the show’s June 2024 run.
