Donald Trump’s Explanation for ‘I’m Coming After You!’ Post Fails to Convince Buyers

Donald Trump recently defended his controversial “I’m coming after you!” statement, but it has left many skeptical.

Despite pleading not guilty to charges of conspiring to lie about the 2020 election and obstructing a peaceful transition of power, as well as being warned by the judge not to influence or retaliate against witnesses, the former president posted an ominous warning on his Truth Social website:

“IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU!”

The Justice Department expressed concerns about this post and requested a protective order from the judge overseeing the election case, citing potential harm to witnesses.

A spokesperson for Trump later offered an explanation, stating that the post was a form of political speech aimed at criticizing certain special interest groups and Super PACs.

Many users on social media platforms like Twitter questioned the sincerity of the spokesperson’s statement.

Trump has a history of implying retaliation against his critics and those involved in legal proceedings against him. In another recent post, he wrote that the Democrats are engaging in the unprecedented weaponization of “Justice,” but assured his supporters that in 2024, it will be their turn to restore the principles of “Make America Great Again.”

It is worth noting that the threatening Truth Social post was shared alongside a video titled “Welcome to the Fraud Squad,” in which Trump criticized those prosecuting him for his various legal troubles.
