Discover the Unbreakable Bond: Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals Tupac Shakur as her Beloved Soulmate

Their relationship was never meant to last – Jada Pinkett Smith, 52, has recently been expressing her admiration for her late friend Tupac Shakur in a unique way.

The “Girls Trip” actress confessed to Rolling Loud’s Christal Jordan on Thursday that she and Tupac were “soulmates,” but clarified that their connection lacked the necessary romantic spark. Tupac, who was murdered on September 13, 1996, had previously described Jada as his soulmate.

“We have soulmates – our children can be our soulmates,” Pinkett Smith responded when asked if she considered Tupac to be a soulmate. “There are different definitions of soulmates.”

During the candid conversation, Pinkett Smith admitted that she and Tupac did share moments of romance, but she never felt it was right.

“I wish I could make people understand,” Pinkett Smith said about the lack of spark between her and Tupac. “And I know it’s hard to believe, but it wasn’t just me. It was him too.”

“It was almost like God made us that way. It’s like, ‘Look, we’ll put you together, alright? You’re going to be a dynamic duo, but I’ll tell you right now: I’m going to make it so you can’t be together,’ because that wasn’t the purpose,” she explained.

Pinkett Smith, who is currently promoting her upcoming memoir “Worthy,” also joked, “If there is such a thing as past lives, I definitely think Pac and I have traveled together in various forms.”

“Worthy” will be released on Oct. 17
