MIAMI, Sept. 20 (UPI) — Kirk Cousins and Kenny Pickett are among my top picks for fantasy football quarterbacks in Week 3.

For your preparation, make sure to check out my Week 3 running back, tight end, and wide receiver rankings, as well as waiver-wire additions articles. I will be updating my positional rankings for any developments, including injuries.

Brock Purdy and Daniel Jones have been excluded from my Week 3 quarterback rankings due to the Thursday night matchup between the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers.

Josh Allen tops my list of the top 20 quarterbacks for Week 3. Dak Prescott and Baker Mayfield, along with Pickett and Cousins, are also must-start options. Additionally, my rankings include several streaming options.

Owners of Joe Burrow and Anthony Richardson should keep an eye on their status before adding them to their lineups due to injuries sustained in Week 2.

All of my must-start options are ranked within the top 14 of my quarterback rankings.

Kirk Cousins

Cousins had an impressive performance in Week 2, throwing for 364 yards and four touchdowns in a Minnesota Vikings loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He also had a strong showing in Week 1, with 344 yards and two passing touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This week, the Vikings will be facing the Los Angeles Chargers, who have allowed the most passing yards in the league through two weeks. I expect Cousins to continue his strong play with over 300 passing yards and three scores. He is my fourth-ranked option for Week 3.

Dak Prescott

Prescott had a rough Week 1 without throwing a touchdown pass, but bounced back in Week 2 with 255 yards and two scores against the New York Jets. In Week 3, he will be going up against the Arizona Cardinals, who have given up the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks in the first two weeks. Prescott should be started in all leagues and I anticipate him having success similar to Daniel Jones’ performance against the Cardinals in Week 2. Prescott is my eighth-ranked play for Week 3.

Baker Mayfield

Mayfield was one of my waiver-wire additions and must-start quarterbacks for Week 2. He threw for two touchdowns in Week 1 and had 317 passing yards in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ win over the Chicago Bears in Week 2. In Week 3, the Buccaneers will be hosting the Philadelphia Eagles. While the Eagles have a strong run defense, they have allowed the second-most passing yards and the most passing touchdowns in the league through two weeks. I expect the Eagles to shut down the Buccaneers’ running game, leading to more passing attempts for Mayfield. Look for him to total 300 passing yards for the second consecutive week and potentially finish as a top 10 option with multiple touchdown passes.

Kenny Pickett

Pickett is ranked 13th in my Week 3 quarterback rankings and should only be considered as a streaming option in deep leagues with at least 14 teams. While he has only thrown one touchdown pass in each of his first two starts this season against tough defenses, he will be facing a Las Vegas Raiders defense in Week 3 that has allowed five touchdown passes and has yet to record an interception. I expect this to be a high-scoring game and for Pickett to surpass 250 passing yards and throw at least two scores.
