Discover the Incredible Talents of these Gifted 10 and 11-year-olds

In a surprising turn of events, a 10-year-old boy and his 11-year-old sister from Florida attempted to run away to California. Their journey took them 200 miles in their mother’s car before they were intercepted by sheriff’s deputies on an interstate highway, according to authorities. The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office reported that the sedan was spotted on Interstate 75 near Gainesville in north Florida, just before 4am on Thursday. The children’s mother had reported the car stolen and her children missing four hours earlier in North Port, a city in southwest Florida. Upon seeing the vehicle, the deputies, assuming they were dealing with dangerous criminals, quickly drew their guns and demanded that the occupants exit the car.

“To their astonishment, deputies discovered a 10-year-old boy behind the wheel, accompanied by his 11-year-old sister,” announced the department in a statement. The children explained to the deputies that the girl was upset because their mother had confiscated her electronic devices as a consequence of her misbehavior. As a result, the boy had taken it upon himself to drive his sister to California. Detectives interviewed the children and found no evidence of mistreatment by their mother or anyone else in their home. The mother decided not to press charges, and the children were subsequently released into her care. For privacy reasons, the identities of the mother and children have not been disclosed.
