A tragic crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu resulted in the death of four Pepperdine University students. The suspected driver, Fraser Michael Bohm, was briefly in custody but has been released while the investigation continues.

The victims were identified as Niamh Rolston, Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir, and Deslyn Williams, all seniors at Pepperdine’s Seaver College of Liberal Arts.

According to Captain Jennifer Seetoo, Bohm lost control of his vehicle and collided with parked cars, hitting the four women standing nearby. Unfortunately, all four lost their lives in the accident. Bohm suffered minor injuries and was apprehended at the scene.

Pepperdine University President Jim Gash expressed condolences to the campus community and announced plans for a prayer service to remember the students who passed away. Support services are being provided by the university to those in need.

In the wake of this tragedy, Captain Seetoo called for increased road safety measures on Pacific Coast Highway, including the use of speed cameras. She emphasized the need for collaboration between the community and elected officials to prevent future accidents.
