Discover the Cheapest Mid-Term Parking Option Among Ireland’s Airports as They Unveil Exciting Winter Schedules

The country’s airports are experiencing a rebound after the pandemic, with a boost in winter schedules. One highlight is the introduction of new weekly winter Ryanair flights to Lanzarote and Tenerife. Ryanair will also maintain its summer service to Malaga throughout the winter months. In addition, Aer Lingus now offers a daily service to London Heathrow.

Knock Airport, in particular, has a variety of winter destinations, including Ryanair services to Birmingham, East-Midlands, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London Luton, London Stansted, and Manchester. This winter schedule comes after a record-breaking summer season, with 102,000 passengers passing through in August, making it the busiest month in the airport’s 38-year history.

Similar to Cork and Shannon airports, which are also bouncing back post-pandemic, bumper winter schedules have been announced. Ryanair will introduce five new winter routes from Cork to Barcelona, Fuerteventura, Paris (Beauvais), Seville, and Treviso. Additionally, Aer Lingus will operate a new route to Lyon from December 23 to the end of March. Shannon Airport’s schedule includes its first winter services to Faro and Liverpool, daily transatlantic flights to New York (JFK) and Boston, and over 200 extra flights during the mid-term, Christmas, and Easter holiday periods.

Dublin Airport also has a busy winter schedule planned, although Ryanair has announced a 10% reduction in services (17 routes) from the airport. While Dublin Airport offers a wider range of destinations and handles a larger number of passengers compared to regional airports in Ireland, parking at Dublin Airport tends to be more expensive. For example, seven days of parking at Ireland West Airport during the mid-term break costs €46 online in a car park within walking distance of the terminal. Dublin Airport’s parking rates for the same period start at €97.50 in its Holiday Blue long-term car park, which requires a 15-minute bus transfer from the terminals. Short-term parking at Dublin Airport is priced at €170 for the mid-term break. Shannon Airport has parking rates ranging from €45 to €168, depending on the chosen car park. However, Cork Airport currently offers the cheapest mid-term parking option, with its Holiday Blue long-term car park costing €42.50 from October 28 to November 4. Other long-term and short-term parking options at Cork Airport are priced at €55 and €119, respectively. Please note that these parking prices were obtained from the airports’ online booking portals and are subject to change.
