At the price of $79, the latest Apple Pencil is now more affordable than ever. This new version has some amazing features including tilt sensitivity and the ability to attach magnetically to your iPad. For charging, simply slide off the cap to reveal the USB-C port.

However, due to its lower price, this third-generation Apple Pencil lacks some of the impressive features found in other models. For instance, it does not have pressure sensitivity like the first- and second-generation models. Additionally, it cannot wirelessly pair and charge when magnetically attached to your iPad like the second-generation model. Despite being the most affordable Apple Pencil available, the new model is still relatively expensive considering its features. There are much cheaper third-party styluses available on Amazon, priced around $20, which offer similar functionalities. However, it is important to note that these alternatives may have varying levels of quality due to their lesser-known brands.

According to Apple’s website, if I were to order the new Apple Pencil now, it would be delivered between November 3rd and November 7th. I also have the option to pick it up in-store on November 8th.

While the new stylus is a great option for those who need it, Apple’s iPad lineup is in need of an upgrade. Unfortunately, it seems that we may have to wait until next year for any refreshes to the tablet line.
