Discover Naomi Campbell’s Reaction to Beyoncé’s Iconic ‘Get Me Bodied’ Lyric Featuring Her Name

“Do the Naomi Campbell walk, walk across the room like Naomi Campbell!”

In the extended version of her 2000s song, “Get Me Bodied,” Beyoncé joyfully chants these lyrics. Interestingly, even Naomi Campbell herself finds amusement in them.

During an interview with Sheinelle Jones on TODAY, Campbell, at 53 years old, expressed her adoration for Beyoncé.

Campbell has encountered occasions at parties and clubs where “Get Me Bodied” played, and as Sheinelle highlights, it’s nearly impossible to resist attempting to imitate Naomi Campbell’s signature catwalk stride when the song comes on.

Sheinelle pointed out, “Doesn’t matter where you are around the world, everybody tries to do the Naomi Campbell walk.”

It seems that Campbell fully supports individuals embracing their inner Naomi.

She remarked, “We all have a walk within us.”

Furthermore, she expressed her desire to pass down the song one day.

She shared, “One day I’ll be able to play it to my daughter. She’s not there yet.”

In May 2021, Campbell welcomed her first daughter, whose name remains undisclosed. She later revealed that she also gave birth to a son in June 2023.

Parenting has proved to be a delightful experience for the supermodel, who considers herself fortunate.

She enthused, “I love it. It’s a lot of fun. Each day is a surprise. You don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Throughout the years, Campbell and Beyoncé have inspired one another. Campbell revealed that her fashion collaboration with PrettyLittleThing was partly influenced by the glittering aesthetic of Beyoncé’s Renaissance album and tour.

In an interview with “Extra,” the model stated, “I really feel like Beyoncé has set that tone with the Renaissance concept. There was not anything silver to be bought in L.A. I was told, but now that’s become a movement, which is incredible.”

Recently, Campbell took to Instagram to wish Beyoncé a happy birthday, sharing nostalgic photos of their encounters.

In the caption, Campbell wrote, “QUEEN B @beyonce another year around the universe, #RENAISSANCE IS A MOVEMENT!!! Celebrating you today continued blessings.”

Campbell graces the September cover of Vogue magazine alongside her supermodel counterparts: Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, and Linda Evangelista.

She informed Sheinelle that the four of them had an exceptional time catching up during the photoshoot.

With a laugh, Campbell shared, “(It’s) hard to get us on set. Hard to shut us up. … It’s a lot of years, a lot of decades.”
