Aug. 18 (UPI) — Demi Lovato has released a rock version of her song “Confident.”
The 30-year-old singer and actress released “Confident (Rock Version)” along with a lyric video for the song on Friday.
The original version of “Confident” is featured on Lovato’s 2015 album of the same name.
Lovato will include “Confident (Rock Version)” and other rock renditions of their songs, such as “Sorry Not Sorry,” on their upcoming album Revamped. The album is set to be released on September 15.
“Breathing new life into the songs that played such a significant role in my career has brought me even closer to my music than ever before. I am excited for you to hear REVAMPED on 9/15,” Lovato shared on Instagram in July.
In April 2022, Lovato stated in an interview with Rolling Stone that they were refocusing on rock and emo music.
This sentiment was echoed during Lovato’s appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in August, where they expressed, “My music has a more rock sound now. Even my older songs have a hint of rock in them. They are no longer strictly pop.”
Lovato’s most recent album Holy Fvck was released in August 2022.
