Dee Snider Urges People to Resist Woke Mob Pressure Amid Trans Controversy

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider is fed up with the trend of people succumbing to cancel culture. After facing backlash from transgender activists for agreeing with Paul Stanley of Kiss about the dangers of pushing gender ideology on children, Snider spoke out against the culture of apology. He believes that individuals shouldn’t feel the need to apologize if they have done nothing wrong, but if they have committed serious offenses such as rape, an apology is not enough.

Snider expressed frustration over the lack of backbone in people who cave in when confronted about their beliefs. Last month, he supported Stanley’s view on sex reassignment surgery in young individuals. Stanley emphasized the importance of distinguishing between teaching acceptance and normalizing behaviors that confuse children about their sexual identity. Snider, known for his left-wing politics, tweeted his agreement with Stanley’s statement.

This tweet sparked immediate backlash, leading to the removal of Twisted Sister’s hit song “We’re Not Gonna Take It” as the official anthem of the San Francisco Pride festival. Snider’s scheduled performance was also canceled. Despite his usual alignment with progressive politics, Snider stood by his tweet, declaring that he was glad his parents didn’t jump to conclusions when he expressed himself during his youth.

The festival and Snider both agreed to part ways, as stated in a joint statement. The festival described Stanley’s remarks as “transphobic” and expressed their heartbreak and anger. Snider, however, vowed to continue being the outspoken and defiant individual he has always been, referencing his famous song.

Stanley later apologized for his words, acknowledging that his thoughts were clear but his choice of words was not. He expressed his support for those struggling with their sexual identity and undergoing reassignment surgery.

Snider disagreed with Stanley’s apology, maintaining that Stanley hadn’t said anything wrong. Unlike Stanley, Snider has no intention of retracting his words. He reaffirmed his commitment to always being the person who refuses to be silenced.

By expressing his views and refusing to back down, Snider is challenging the prevailing cancel culture and standing up for his beliefs.
