Davante Adams, Raiders’ Key Player, Exits Practice due to ‘Leg Injury’ after Limping to Locker Room during Joint Training Session with San Francisco 49ers

Davante Adams, the superstar wide receiver of the Las Vegas Raiders, left practice after suffering a leg injury. Adams, a first-team All-Pro for the past three seasons, sustained the injury during a joint practice session with the San Francisco 49ers.

Head coach Josh McDaniels downplayed the severity of the injury, saying, “I don’t think it’s crazy serious.” McDaniels described the play as “bang-bang” and stated it was a clean hit from the 49ers’ side.

Adams was sandwiched between linebacker Oren Burks and cornerback Charvarius Ward while running a slant route during 11-on-11 drills. He remained on the field momentarily before being assisted to the sideline.

Adams made his way to the locker room area while favoring his leg and pointing to the area around his calf. In his first season with the Raiders, Adams recorded 100 receptions for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns, the highest in the league. He previously played seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers before being traded to Las Vegas.

Jakobi Meyers, another wide receiver for the Raiders, expressed concern for Adams’ well-being and praised his impact on the team. Meyers, a free agency acquisition from the New England Patriots, stated, “We appreciate him and we just want him to be back to himself.”
