The entertainment industry mourns the loss of Darren Kent, a talented actor known for his roles in “Game of Thrones” and “EastEnders.” He was only 36 years old.

“Darren Kent, an award-winning actor also known as Darren Harper, passed away last Friday, surrounded by his loved ones,” confirmed his representative to Fox News Digital.

Despite his immense talent, Kent struggled with an extremely rare skin disorder, as well as osteoporosis and arthritis.

The Essex-born actor graduated from the prestigious Italia Conti Stage School in 2007. Throughout his career, Kent appeared in notable television shows and films such as “Malpractice,” “Blood Drive,” “The Frankenstein Chronicles,” and “Dungeons and Dragons.”

In one unforgettable episode of “Game of Thrones,” Kent portrayed a Goatherd from Slavers Bay, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

He also shared the screen with Kiefer Sutherland in “Mirrors,” and acted alongside Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, and Kristen Stewart in “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

Being part of his journey has been an honor and a pleasure. Rest in peace, my friend,” shared Carey Dodd Associates on Facebook.

In 2021, the BBC entrusted Kent with directing an episode of the series “The Break.” He went on to receive accolades for his outstanding work, with his short film “You Know Me” winning Best Director and Best Short Film at the London International Film Festival in January.

Colleagues and fans took to social media to express their grief, including screenwriter Ben Trebilcook, who worked on “You Know Me.”

“Darren will be greatly missed. A truly unique individual who was always creating and remained positive, Darren’s absence is deeply felt,” Trebilcook wrote on X, previously known as Twitter.

Kent’s family and agency acknowledged his indomitable spirit and love for life in his obituary, stating that he will be remembered not only for his talent but also as a warm and generous friend.
