Damian Lillard trade rumors gain traction as Tyler Herro updates Twitter bio without mentioning the Heat

Tyler Herro’s actions on Twitter have fueled speculation about his potential departure from the Miami Heat via a trade.

Following reports of Damian Lillard’s trade request and his desire to be sent to Miami, Herro removed any reference to the Heat from his Twitter bio.

The bio previously stated that he was a “Miami Heat guard” and featured a header image of him shooting at the team’s practice facility.

Both the bio and the header image have been removed as of Saturday afternoon.

Given his age and talent, the 23-year-old Herro would likely be a key part of any trade package involving Miami and Lillard.

During the previous NBA Finals, Herro missed most of the Heat’s games due to a hand injury sustained in the team’s opening playoff match.

The Trail Blazers, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, are exploring the possibility of involving a third team in the trade.

Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report, who has strong connections with Lillard, claims that the Blazers’ star considers Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat to be his top choice. Haynes also believes that a trade involving Lillard going to Miami would likely involve a third team.

This is where the Brooklyn Nets enter the picture.

Reports from Jackson and SNY’s Ian Begley suggest that the Nets have shown interest in acquiring Herro.

Bobby Marks of ESPN even discussed the possibility of Herro landing with the Nets on SportsCenter.

There is still uncertainty regarding Lillard’s eventual landing spot.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Blazers are not solely focused on making a deal with Miami, despite Lillard’s preference. According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, Lillard has expressed his desire to be traded to the Heat.
