Creamline and Choco Mucho dominate their opponents effortlessly.

Alyssa Valdez showcased her renewed form on her 30th birthday as Creamline secured their second straight victory in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference. The Cool Smashers defeated Gerflor with a comfortable 25-18, 25-11, 25-12 victory, bringing them closer to the semifinals. Valdez, reflecting on her birthday game, expressed her gratitude to the volleyball fans, the volleyball community, her teammates, and all her teams for their support throughout her career. Creamline, known as the team to beat, dominated the Defenders with their relentless attacking game. Despite a slow start, the players recovered and contributed to the team’s victory. Tots Carlos stood out with a game-high 15 points, while Jema Galanza and Ced Domingo also made significant contributions. Valdez emphasized that every game counts in the conference and hopes the victory serves as a confidence-booster for their upcoming match against PLDT High Speed Hitters on July 13.

In the second game, Sisi Rondina made a sizzling return to indoor volleyball after a four-year hiatus. Leading Choco Mucho in a 25-14, 25-7, 25-16 rout of Farm Fresh, Rondina showed her energy and brave character on the court. Setter Deanna Wong also had an impressive performance, establishing a good connection with Rondina. Kat Tolentino, still working her way to top shape after the Southeast Asian Games, played in the third set and contributed two points. Caitlyn Viray provided strong support to Rondina, while Cherry Nunag and Des Cheng also made valuable contributions. Choco Mucho’s service-receive performed well, and the team hopes to sustain their momentum in their next game against Foton.

Farm Fresh, on the other hand, struggled to find their footing as no player scored in double figures. Trisha Tubu led the team with seven points, while Gayle Pascual was limited to just one point. The team is currently 0-2 in Pool B and will face Petro Gazz on July 11 after a break.

Overall, Creamline and Choco Mucho showcased their dominance in their respective games, setting the stage for an exciting continuation of the PVL Invitational Conference.
