Cracks in Biden’s defense create opportunity for expanded impeachment inquiry

Devon Archer’s detailed testimony last week before the House Oversight and Accountability Committee has exposed the falsehoods in President Joe Biden’s original account.

Archer’s testimony, coupled with the collapse of the Hunter Biden plea deal in federal court, virtually guarantees an expansion of the impeachment inquiry.

It is important to differentiate between an impeachment inquiry and an actual motion of impeachment. Launching an inquiry enables the House to ask broader questions and expands the investigative powers that House Republicans can employ. Whether or not it leads to impeachment remains to be seen.

‘MONEY GUY’: THIS HUNTER BIDEN BUSINESS PARTNER COULD UNVEIL THE BIDEN FAMILY’S BUSINESS DEALINGS

Archer’s testimony has significantly undermined President Biden’s defense that he had no involvement in Hunter Biden’s business deals and was unaware of them.

Archer, a close business partner of Hunter Biden, has been pictured with then-Vice President Biden on several occasions. Additionally, there is a letter from the Vice President expressing his satisfaction with Archer and Hunter Biden’s collaboration.

During Archer’s testimony about the specifics of their working relationship, he unequivocally demonstrated that candidate and later President Biden consistently lied to the American people.

BIDEN’S CLAIM OF NEVER DISCUSSING BUSINESS DEALS WITH HUNTER CONTINUES TO CRUMBLE

As noted by Miranda Devine in the New York Post, “No matter how desperately Democrats and their media handmaidens try to spin Archer’s testimony, he has fundamentally altered the narrative.”

It is evident that Burisma, the Ukrainian natural gas company, paid Archer and Hunter Biden $83,000 per month each for access to Joe Biden.

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was investigating corruption involving Burisma. During his testimony, Archer stated, “I do believe that, at the end of the day, Burisma wouldn’t have stayed in business so long if Hunter was not on the board.”

In a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations, Joe Biden himself admitted that he flew to Ukraine and threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid unless Shokin was fired. Biden made it clear that if Shokin was not removed, the money would be cut off. Three months later, Shokin was dismissed, and as Archer mentioned, Burisma was saved.

OBAMA-ERA EMAILS REVEAL HUNTER’S EXTENSIVE TIES TO NEARLY A DOZEN SENIOR-LEVEL BIDEN ADMINISTRATION AIDES

Archer testified that Vice President Biden’s influence extended beyond Ukraine. He claimed that Hunter called his father at least 20 times in an attempt to impress foreign businessmen. On multiple occasions, Hunter put his father on speakerphone to demonstrate that he offered real access to the second-most powerful person in the U.S. government.

As former Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer stated, “If I was pitching clients right now and I said, ‘Hey, before we get going to this meeting, I’ve got George Bush on the line. He just wants to talk to you about the weather. Hey, Mr. President, it’s great to have you here.’ Everybody in that room would go, ‘Oh, he can get the president on the line. Isn’t that something?’ Everybody knows what that would be. The difference is no politician I’ve ever worked for would have gotten on that line. It would have been unethical. It was corruption. Joe Biden got on the line more than 20 times. That is corruption.”

It went beyond phone calls. Vice President Biden had dinners with Hunter’s foreign business associates on at least two occasions. He dined with a French energy company in Paris and a Chinese investment firm in China, and of course, he brought Hunter along on Air Force Two.

As Chairman James Comer stated on “Just the News, No Noise,” “It’s just unbelievable.

“When in American history has a vice president ever played an active role and demanded the firing of a prosecutor in a foreign country simply for investigating a business domiciled in that country? Never. The evidence continues to mount that the real quid pro quo concerning Ukraine and Burisma was Joe Biden. …

“That’s why we’re investigating Joe Biden. We know his family has been selling access to him for years. The problem is we could have a compromised president.”

Given all this information, it is no surprise that Speaker Kevin McCarthy has hinted at the possibility of this investigation evolving into an impeachment inquiry.

This has been a consequential week for American politics, America, and history.
