The coroner investigating the demise of the renowned Grammy Award-winning musician, Sinéad O’Connor, is yet to determine the exact date of her passing. The London Metropolitan Police discovered the remains of the 56-year-old singer on Wednesday, and although her death is not being treated as suspicious, the London Inner South Coroner’s Court spokesperson stated that the “date of death is unknown.” The Daily Mail reported this information. The Coroner’s Court also mentioned that no medical cause for O’Connor’s death has been determined yet and that an autopsy will be conducted. However, it will take “several weeks” for the results of the autopsy to be released.
O’Connor had been residing in a converted warehouse from the 1940s in close proximity to the vibrant Brixton district in South London. On her last public statement posted on Facebook on July 11, she expressed her happiness upon returning to London after 23 years and stated that she was “very happy to be home.” Additionally, O’Connor revealed that she was in the process of finishing a new album which is expected to be released next year. She also mentioned plans for a world tour, including stops in the U.S, Europe, and Australia.

She shared a link to the song “Great Tibetan Compassion Mantra” along with the caption, “For all mothers of Suicided children.” This heartbreaking loss occurred after Shane went missing from a suicide watch at an Irish hospital.
