Contestant on The Price Is Right Suffers Injury During Celebration

CBS’ long-standing game show, The Price Is Right, rarely involves the whole family. However, in a recent episode, a contestant’s celebration led to an injury that required his wife’s assistance to continue. According to CNN, during a game called “Bonkers,” Henry won a trip to Hawaii in just five seconds on his first attempt.

Host Drew Carey exclaimed with excitement as Henry joyfully jumped and pumped his arms in the air. A video on the show’s official Instagram account captured the moment. Later in the show, Henry appeared on stage with his wife, Alice, as his right arm hung limp at his side. Carey explained that Henry had dislocated his shoulder while celebrating and would not be able to spin the wheel. However, Alice stepped in and spun the wheel on his behalf, earning an impressive score of 95.

Injuries are not uncommon on The Price Is Right. Previous incidents include a woman competing on crutches due to an ankle injury from spinning the wheel and Carey himself getting his arm caught during the taping of his first episode in 2007. Fortunately, Henry has since recovered and is feeling better. The show shared the update on Instagram. (Read more The Price Is Right stories.)
