Conservative uproar over Cracker Barrel’s LGBTQ Facebook post

Cracker Barrel is facing criticism from some groups who are calling for a boycott of the restaurant chain due to their support for the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month. On Thursday, the Tennessee-based restaurant shared a Facebook post displaying a rocking chair painted in rainbow colors to celebrate the month. Conservatives individuals, such as Lauren Chen of BlazeTV and Turning Point USA, urged others not to dine at the restaurant, however, there were also many social media users who applauded the company’s show of support. Cracker Barrel operates 664 locations nationwide with roughly 73,000 employees and posted profits of $16.8 million on revenue of $833 million last quarter. Target also recently faced backlash when some stores received bomb threats due to their sale of Pride-themed clothing and Anheuser-Busch InBev’s sales of Bud Light have suffered after partnering with transgender rights activist and actress, Dylan Mulvaney.
