The Palm Springs Art Museum Family+ series’ summer edition will conclude in late August as students return to school.
The Family+ Summer Artist Studio was created to offer families a way to escape the summer heat. Local artists specializing in various mediums will lead workshops and showcase their work inside the museum, as stated by museum officials.
The final event of the summer edition series will take place on Sunday, August 20th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the museum’s Annenberg Theater, located at 101 Museum Drive. This information was confirmed by Scott Slaven of the Palm Springs Art Museum.
Although the events are free of charge, attendees are kindly requested to pre-register at store.psmuseum.org/family-plus/.
“On August 20th, artist Nicholas Megalis will lead a workshop specifically designed for beginners who want to explore the world of art and gain confidence in their creative abilities,” explained museum officials. “This interactive activity will delve into the potential of text art, drawing, and coloring.”
Workshops will be held continuously throughout the day, as informed by museum officials.
Other workshops and activities for families, relating to the back-to-school season, will resume at the museum on September 17.
