When comedy superstar Matt Rife called an Iowan the “hottest mom ever”, she decided to speak out.
The Iowan in question is Christina Reeder, who went viral with Rife after a playful video of the two brought delight to the internet. The original video, which contains sexual references and profanity, was shot at the Funny Bone comedy club in West Des Moines.
In his comments to Reeder, Rife expressed admiration, saying, “You are so hot”, when she brought him cookies and a suggestive T-shirt.
The March video has gained over 6 million views, turning the central Iowa grandma into a TikTok star with more than 760,000 followers.
In November, Reeder and Rife went viral again after reuniting at a show in Ames.

Reeder praised Rife’s crowd work, describing him as “one of the most intelligent comedians out there because he’s so witty, he’s so quick.”
She also believes Rife is misjudged for his good looks, playfully mentioning she doesn’t consider herself as attractive as Rife does.
Reeder received recognition from Rife in an E! News interview, where he referred to her as a “sweetheart” and discussed their unforgettable meeting that contributed to his stardom.

Raygun creates ‘hot moms are made in Iowa’ shirt inspired by Matt Rife’s videos with Christina Reeder
Des Moines-based t-shirt company Raygun announced a new shirt inspired by the interactions between Rife and Reeder. The shirt is black with red lettering, reading “Hot moms are made in Iowa”. A portion of the sales are directed towards Help-a-Heart, a nonprofit assisting families affected by congenital heart defects.
