In the conversation, McCaskill expressed her disbelief that Tuberville chose to target the military for his protest, considering he would have very little support from his own party for this action.
McCaskill’s statement about Tuberville’s actions was, “Just amazing to me that a Republican from Alabama would pull such a stunt with the armed forces.”
