Chris Christie’s Alleged Divine Calling: Sean Hannity Reveals

Sean Hannity made a sarcastic remark about Republican Chris Christie’s presidential bid, suggesting that he believes he has a higher calling. (Listen below.)

On his radio show, the Fox News host said, “He just thinks … God has anointed him to be the Trump slayer.”

Hannity criticized Christie for his recent comments on state bans on gender-affirming care for young people. Christie’s stance on this issue led Hannity to accuse him of going “full-on-woke” and suggested that Christie is trying to gain favor with mainstream news outlets while being a Republican in name only.

“Chris Christie is not a Republican,” Hannity declared. “Chris Christie is on a mission to be liked by the media mob, and he’s there to do as much damage to every conservative candidate. He’s taking up space on a stage and has no chance of ever being president. He believes that God has anointed him to be the Trump slayer. However, Donald Trump will likely not participate in any of these debates.”

Sean Hannity recently criticized Republican Chris Christie's presidential run, saying the former New Jersey governor thinks "God has anointed him to be the Trump slayer."

Republican hopefuls are scheduled to debate for the first time on Aug. 23, but the attendance of each candidate is uncertain. Trump has questioned the need to debate due to his significant lead, and others may hesitate to pledge support to the eventual nominee as demanded by the Republican National Committee.

Meanwhile, Christie has faced backlash for openly criticizing Trump. He faced boos at a conservative conference when he stated, “I’m running because Trump let us down. He’s unwilling to take responsibility for any of the mistakes that were made or acknowledge any faults.”

Christie has called Trump a “petulant child” and blamed him for traumatizing the country with his ego and vanity, as well as for the classified documents case. Despite receiving praise from sports media personality Stephen A. Smith, Christie is still considered a longshot in the race.
