Chris Bassitt and his wife commit to donating for every victory achieved

TORONTO – Blue Jays starting pitcher Chris Bassitt and his wife Jessica are committed to making a positive impact on their new home in Toronto.

On Tuesday, the Bassitts announced that they will donate US$10,000 for every Blue Jays win when Chris pitches this season, starting from Opening Day. So far, they have already pledged $120,000 to the charity.

“With every team we’ve been with, it’s always been a one-year thing,” said Jessica, sitting in the home dugout of Rogers Centre alongside her husband. “We’ve always wanted to get involved in the community, so now that we’ve signed a three-year contract, we felt this was a great place to start.”
