When asked about his involvement in the wedding preparations, Dotun humorously mentioned being on “napkin duty.”
The 30-year-old stated, “All jokes aside, I will be as involved as necessary. Although I don’t have experience in planning weddings, I’m excited to marry this incredible woman. I’ll provide whatever help is needed and do my best.”
“I may not have the natural inclination for wedding planning, but I promise to do my best not to ruin it,” Dotun added.
Charity emphasized that they are still in the early stages of envisioning their weddings.
“We’re enjoying this moment in our lives, but we don’t want a prolonged engagement,” said Charity, a family therapist.
They are considering the possibility of two separate ceremonies, with one potentially being a big Nigerian wedding and the other a more intimate and sacred celebration.
“We haven’t decided if the weddings will be televised yet. We’ll address that when the time comes,” Charity explained.
Charity and Dotun met on season 20 of “The Bachelorette,” where she dated multiple men before finding a deep connection with Dotun. On the finale, Charity chose Dotun’s proposal over her runner-up, Joey Graziadei.
Joey, who became a fan favorite, has been announced as the next star of “The Bachelor.”
