Challenging You to Throw Something at Me: An Unpleasant Outcome Awaits

  • Adele addresses the issue of onstage attacks on musicians and urges fans to practice “show etiquette.”
  • She emphasizes, “Stop throwing things at the artist. These people have lost it.”
  • Recent victims include Bebe Rexha, Kelsea Ballerini, and Ava Max.

Adele sends a strong message to anyone considering throwing objects at her during performances.

The renowned singer interrupts her Las Vegas residency to remind fans about the importance of “show etiquette” following recent incidents of onstage attacks targeting female artists.

In a video shared on Twitter by the fan account @Adelettes2, Adele jokingly challenges her fans to attempt such a stunt on her.

This occurred during Adele’s regular break from her set list, where she uses a T-shirt cannon to shoot merchandise to the audience at Caesars Palace.

“Have you noticed how people are forgetting proper show etiquette lately and throwing things on stage?” she asks as she walks around.

“Have you seen that? I dare you, I dare you to throw something at me. I’ll deal with you.”

Adele then takes aim with her T-shirt cannon and exclaims as she fires, “Stop throwing things at the artist.”

Laughing, she adds, “But you can shoot things at the audience.”

As a final remark on fans assaulting artists, she states: “These people have lost it.”

Last month, Bebe Rexha was hit in the face with a cell phone during a show in New York City. She was promptly taken to the hospital and required stitches, as reported by Rolling Stone.

The perpetrator, Nicolas Malvagna, 27, was arrested and charged with assault, according to the New York Police Department’s statement to Insider.

Since then, Rexha has kept fans updated on her recovery and even shared a photo of her healing eye on Twitter.

In her first performance after the incident, she appeared to wear safety goggles, presumably to protect her face from further incidents.

Rexha’s injury was just the beginning of a series of onstage attacks against female performers in recent weeks.

Shortly after, Ava Max was slapped by a fan at an LA show, causing a scratch inside her eye, while Kelsea Ballerini was struck by an object thrown from the crowd during a concert in Idaho.
