MANILA, Philippines — Ced Domingo is set to make her mark overseas as Creamline announced her absence in the team’s title-retention bid for the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

Creamline has shared that Domingo will not be participating in the season-ending tournament because she has signed with a foreign team. However, the club has not disclosed the specific details about her new team.

“We are thrilled to announce that Creamline management has approved Ceddie’s request to play for a foreign team. We fully support her in pursuing her dreams abroad,” stated the Cool Smashers.

The team also emphasized their commitment to Domingo’s growth as an athlete and the significance of her being recognized as one of the few Filipina volleyball players invited as a foreign reinforcement. Although her absence impacts the team’s title chances, they believe in supporting her personal goals.

Sources reveal that Domingo will be flying to another country on Monday, but the club has stated that the foreign team will make the official announcement.

“Ceddie and Virtual Playground will soon share the details of her new volleyball journey. We will miss her presence in the team, but we sincerely wish her the best of luck in her new endeavor. May it bring her joy, growth, and success,” expressed Creamline.

The Cool Smashers also extended their support to fellow player Jia De Guzman, who will be debuting in the Japan V. League for the Denso Airybees on Saturday. They acknowledged that opportunities like these are rare and want to ensure that Ceddie has the chance to explore and experience the world of volleyball to the fullest.

“Ceddie, we are incredibly proud of you. You have worked hard for this opportunity, and you deserve it. Go out there, give it your all, and make your dreams come true,” encouraged the team.

Ced Domingo, 24 years old, is a two-time PVL Best Middle Blocker and was named the Invitational Conference Finals MVP last year. She joins other talented Filipino players, like Jaja Santiago and MJ Phillips, who are playing in overseas leagues in Japan and South Korea.

Although Domingo missed Creamline’s first game due to a tooth extraction, the team will rely on Risa Sato and Jeanette Panaga to anchor the frontline without her.
