The concertgoer who claims to have been struck by a microphone thrown by Cardi B into the crowd has told police that she was not the one who threw the drink at the “WAP” rapper.
Social media videos circulating the incident show an audience member throwing a drink at Cardi B while she was performing at Las Vegas’ Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub last Saturday.
In response to this, Cardi B visibly frustrated, threw her microphone in the direction of the person who threw the drink, as seen in the videos.
The 26-year-old fan who alleges being hit by the microphone reported a “battery” to the police the day after the incident, according to Las Vegas police.
The fan told the police that a woman with reddish-colored hair, in her late 20s, threw the drink at Cardi B.
The police report states that as a result of the drink being thrown at Cardi B, she threw her microphone at the crowd, and the woman who reported the incident claims to have been struck on her right shoulder.
The woman informed the police that she was experiencing pain and planned to seek medical attention upon returning home.
She also mentioned recording the incident on her cell phone.
The fan was unable to complete a report with security or notify the police due to the large crowd during the incident.
Cardi B’s representatives have not responded to Insider’s request for comment.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has documented the incident in a police report but no arrests or citations have been issued so far.
