Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was forced to vacate her private Capitol office by the new speaker pro-tempore, Patrick McHenry, R-N.C. Fox News Digital confirmed the eviction order, which required Pelosi to leave her Capitol hideaway by Wednesday.
McHenry, a close ally of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who was recently ousted from his role, made the decision to evict Pelosi. This eviction order was one of McHenry’s first actions as the top House lawmaker.

Fox News Digital confirmed that House Speaker pro-tempore Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., ordered former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to vacate her Capitol hideaway by Wednesday.

Pelosi received an eviction notice via email, first reported by Politico.
The email informed her that her hideaway was being reassigned for “speaker office use.”
The email added, “Please vacate the space tomorrow, the room will be re-keyed.”
Pelosi complied with the eviction order on Tuesday, with assistance from the staff of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., according to a spokesperson for the former speaker.
