Aug. 19 (UPI) — Pop music star Britney Spears showcased her incredible dancing skills in a video posted on social media. The video shows her dancing at home in a trendy outfit just days after announcing her split from husband Sam Asghari.
Spears, who is 41 years old, tied the knot with Asghari, 29, in June 2022. However, Asghari recently confirmed that he has filed for divorce.
“As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together… After being together for 6 years, I’m a little shocked but it’s honestly nobody’s business! I couldn’t bear the pain any longer. Fortunately, I’ve been receiving heartwarming messages from friends that truly touch my heart,” the singer wrote on Instagram, expressing her emotions and gratitude.
“While my Instagram may seem perfect, it’s far from reality, and I believe we all know that! I have always felt compelled to hide my weaknesses and portray strength. If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would’ve been sent away for ‘treatment.’ But that’s when I needed my family the most. Love should be unconditional, not conditional! So I will remain strong and do my best. And I must say, I’m actually doing pretty damn well! Have a great day and don’t forget to smile!”
Following a legal battle, Spears successfully terminated the conservatorship her family placed her under in 2008 with full control regained in 2021. This meant she no longer had restrictions on her medical decisions or contracts, including the ability to legally marry.
Spears is the proud mother of two sons, Sean (17) and Jayden (16), whom she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
